MDM 2026: Intune vs Jamf vs Google Workspace for managing a mixed IT fleet

Microsoft Intune

Included in: M365 Business Premium (~€22/month/user), E3, E5.

Strengths:

• Native Windows + Office 365 integration
• Fine-grained Windows policy management
• Conditional Access with Entra ID
• Good Android support (notably Samsung Knox)

Weaknesses:

• Mac: OK but not excellent (limited management vs Jamf)
• Admin interface sometimes heavy
• Steep learning curve

For whom: SMEs and administrations predominantly Windows + M365 ecosystem. De facto B2B standard in French-speaking markets.

Jamf Pro

Pricing: ~€3.50/month/device (Mac/iPhone/iPad).

Strengths:

• Absolute reference for managing Mac and iOS
• Huge pre-packaged apps catalog
• Self-Service for users
• Native zero-touch configuration

Weaknesses:

• No Windows (Jamf School for Windows but limited)
• Additional cost per device

For whom: 100% Apple creative teams, schools / universities with iPad fleets, design agencies.

Google Workspace Endpoint Management

Included in: Google Workspace Business / Enterprise.

Strengths:

• Included at no additional cost
• Excellent Chromebook management
• Good Android (logical: Google)
• Fast setup

Weaknesses:

• Windows: less powerful than Intune
• Mac: less powerful than Jamf
• Limited advanced policies

For whom: Workspace + Chromebook + Android teams. Startups and cloud-native organizations.

Mixed scenario (Windows + Mac + mobile)

Three options:

• Intune: covers everything, sufficient for most. This is what we recommend by default for French-speaking SMEs.
• Intune + Jamf: if Mac represents a significant share (> 30% of the fleet) and is critical. Additional cost ~€3.50/Mac.
• Workspace + third-party tool: if you are 100% Google and accept compromises on Windows.

• French-speaking SME Windows-centric: Intune (M365 Business Premium).
• Apple creative studio: Jamf Pro.
• Cloud-native startup + Chromebook: Google Workspace.
