FAQ

All your questions, in one place.

Orders, payment, warranty, Africa export, cybersecurity, partnerships. If an answer is missing, write to us.

Orders & quotes

How do I get a quote?

Three options: (1) the contact form at /en/contact, (2) the 3-question wizard at /en/demarrer, (3) build a multi-product quote at /en/devis from the catalog. Reply within 24–48 business hours.

What are your delivery times?

France/EU: 5–25 days depending on supplier availability. West Africa export: 3–6 weeks depending on shipping mode (air faster, sea more economical).

Do you work through public tenders?

Yes. We provide all required documentation (datasheets, certifications, attestations) and accept administrative payment terms.

Do you accept rush orders?

Yes, subject to supplier stock. Clearly flag it in your request for prioritization.

Payment & financing

Which payment methods do you accept?

SEPA transfer (standard B2B), credit card via Stripe (deposits + settlement), SWIFT transfer (non-EU export), documentary letter of credit (large volumes), IT leasing (case-by-case review).

Is IT leasing worthwhile for my SME?

Leasing suits investments above €10,000 ex. VAT amortized over 3–5 years. Pros: budget spreading, deductible rents, easier renewal. Con: higher total final cost than an outright purchase (interest ~3–7%/year).

Do you accept deposits?

Yes: a 30–50% deposit is recommended on orders above €5,000 ex. VAT. For exports: 50% deposit on order, balance before unloading at destination. You can also pay a symbolic €500 deposit via Stripe directly at /en/devis to reserve your project.

Warranty & after-sales

What warranties on hardware?

Original manufacturer warranty (1 to 5 years depending on the reference). We provide the invoice, serial numbers and documentation. For exports, after-sales is handled via the manufacturer's regional center where present, otherwise return to France.

What should I do if a failure occurs after delivery?

Contact KOLOSALTech directly; we coordinate with the manufacturer's after-sales service. For distant exports, plan spare parts in stock to limit delays.

Does the hardware withstand African conditions?

Yes, with ruggedized models specified (MIL-STD-810H, IP65). We recommend these levels by default for Sahel field deployments and harsh environments.

Africa export

Which countries do you cover?

Burkina Faso (priority), Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Mali, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Guinea. Other countries on request depending on customs feasibility.

Which Incoterms do you offer?

EXW, FCA, FOB, CIF, DAP, DDP. DAP is the most common for African clients who want simplicity (delivery to destination, customs cleared by them). DDP lets us manage everything but at a higher cost.

How long does an export take?

3 to 6 weeks from France depending on the shipping mode. Detailed in the quote.

Does the hardware arrive with its international warranty?

Yes, the original manufacturer warranty is valid internationally (1 to 5 years depending on the reference).

Cybersecurity

How much does cyber protection cost for a 20-seat SME?

Between €3,000 and €8,000 ex. VAT per year (EDR licenses, MFA, cloud backup), plus the initial audit and setup (€2,000–5,000).

What should I do in case of a ransomware attack?

Immutable backup = restore in under 24h without paying the ransom. It is the most cost-effective investment for SME cyber health.

Do you carry out cyber audits?

Yes, a short audit (2–4 days) with a prioritized summary report and a costed action plan. Typical cost: €2,000–5,000 ex. VAT.

Company & partnerships

Are you an official partner of the manufacturers listed?

No, KOLOSALTech is not an exclusive official partner. We are an independent integrator and source their products from qualified wholesalers and suppliers in France and Europe.

How do I become a partner?

The /en/partenaires page details the profiles we are looking for (local African integrator, freight forwarder, distributor, consultant). Apply via /en/contact?type=Partnership inquiry.

Cybersecurity & compliance

Am I affected by NIS2?

Special case: MSPs, datacenters, DNS and cloud are covered from the first employee. Eligibility audit offered on request.

What is the difference between EDR, XDR and MDR?

EDR = detection/response on endpoints (workstations/servers). XDR = EDR extended to multiple sources (firewall, email, cloud, identity). MDR = an outsourced 24/7 service where a third-party SOC analyzes your alerts. See our EDR comparison: /en/comparatifs/edr-pme.

Do you do pentesting?

Light internal pentesting within our full cyber audits. For certified external pentests (PASSI), we work with specialized partners. Introductions possible.

Do you recommend sovereign solutions?

Systematically for sensitive sectors (government bodies, critical operators, regulated data). Stormshield (ANSSI CSPN firewall), OVHcloud (SecNumCloud cloud), Tehtris XDR, Wallix Bastion, Olvid messaging. See the firewall comparison: /en/comparatifs/pare-feux-pme.
